French cities comparable to Muncih?

I want to study in France next year. I'm trying to figure out what cities are comparable to Munich or maybe even London. (Ive both fell in love with these two cities!) Even something thats comparable to prague. I dont like small cities as you can probably tell. If you can refer any French or English speaking countries that would be great :)
